Discussion:
What release of SM provides SMTP_MAILER_MAXRCPTS
(too old to reply)

That batbook says 8.12 and above, but it seems to be in my IBM AIX
provided SM binary, which is V8.11.6p2. Can anyone say definitively?
This is for a server for 3000 people so I don't want to 'mess around
and see'

Thanks in advance for the help

SMTP_MAILER_MAXRCPTS translates into "r" mailer field
The field has been added in sendmail-8.12.0

<quote src="RELEASE_NOTES">
8.12.0/8.12.0 2001/09/0
[...]
Use a dynamic (instead of fixed-size) buffer for the list of recipients
that are sent during a connection to a mailer. This also introduces a
new mailer field 'r' which defines the maximum number of recipients
(defaults to 100). Based on patch by Motonori Nakamura of Kyoto University.
